F is for Faith. How long is your faith. Is it so short that it hits the ceiling and bounces back at you? My mother asked me this question many years ago when I was a teenager. Thankfully, I never forgot.

F is for Forgiveness. Something I need to do for myself. Not only forgive the other person but forgive myself. It is one day at a time program. At six years sober, I had a counsellor as me "How come you haven't forgiven yourself?" I hadn't thought to ask. I hadn't thought I was worthy.

F is for Faith. Even though it is the size of a mustard seed, it is enough.

Faith in the unknown bring about new awareness, you can see the change in others and then you will see it in yourself. Trust the process, don't let fear block you from a better way of living.

F is for First Things First! First is my Sobriety. That means I need to focus on me and my recovery.

F is for Friends. Be your own best friend.

F is for Fear. Face everything and recover. Fear everything and run. We do have an option. Fear of the unknown is a big one. Fear of letting go for me was an even bigger one. Fear masked so many other issues in my life and through the program, I uncovered so many issues that cause me to reach for that next 'fix' that only covered up, instead of healing and making better. I was a sick person, not a bad person trying to get good.

F is for Fear. "False evidence appearing real." What happened in the past isn't going to happen in today if I am not using and I remember to pray and take my God with me in today.

As the saying goes, "I am where I am in today as a result of decision made in the past. If I make good decision in today, I won't end up in the same place in my tomorrows.
