New Year
 

NEW YEAR

The New Year stands just before us.
We will decide what to do each day.
God will direct our footsteps.
He will be with us all the way.

Our desires should be to please Him.
He invites us to let Him lead.
He can see far into the future.
His plan is for Him to intercede.

He sets a pattern before us.
He opens and closes each door.
He wants complete obedience.
He has told us all that before.

If we really want joy and peace,
We need to stay close by His side.
His grace will always be sufficient.
In our hearts, He will abide.

The days will be complete
If we start each one in His care.
May our lives shine with His glory.
We must stay in His Word with prayer.

We dedicate this New Year to Him.
May He find us faithful each day.
May we strive to be more Christ-like
And plan to please Him in every way.
