All That We've Been Through
 

In all of the many different ways that our stories are told there is something that's common among them all. If we can listen for this we will all hear where all of us went against what we all knew to be right for ourselves. This is where all of our difficulties have begun for all of us and are for all of us, and that is within us. We're lost in knowing this and understanding this about ourselves before any of us get to recovery, not to worry though because that's what being in recovery is all about so all of us can once again get right with ourselves and with the world around us. Another theme that's apparent in all of our stories is that what has happened to all of us is not something that any of us could have prevented, no matter how hard any of us may wish that we could, we couldn't. And for some unknown reason for all of us with all of our different stories we all have been put on the same path, that led all of us to being here in recovery. We'll all think that this is so strange when we all first get here to recovery, because all of our stories are so different, but in time this will make sense to each and everyone of us, and when it does is when all of us will know why it is that we are here, right where we belong, a place that none of us would have ever planned on being. And for all of us who have had to go through all that we've all been through to get here, we'll all be grateful to be here in recovery, and it's from all of our different stories we'll all be able to get this, that this is where all of us belong from now on.
