Healing

Recovery requires that we all be willing to continually seek out finding out more about ourselves. This is important to all of us in two ways first so we can see ourselves as we are, and not as we'd like to be seen, and also so that we can see others as they are, not as we expect them to be. Being able to do this goes a long way in straightening out a lot of the troubles we tend to find ourselves getting caught up in that go along with having this problem that we all have. Most of us are used to looking at how things affect us more than how we ourselves have reacted to them. It is from our reactions past and present that hold the key for us being able to have a new understanding of ourselves and others. We learn how by applying the principles of recovery that everything can work out better for us and everyone else than it has been. We all must be willing to have a good look at ourselves so we can see how our reactions have been and are hurting us and others, so we can learn from them, so we can learn how we can heal from the damage we've been doing to ourselves and everyone else, so all of us can heal from all of this.
