U is for Understanding. I needed to come to my own understanding. I could get feed back from others, but the ultimate decision is mine.

U is for Use prayer and meditation.

U is for Unique. We are unique in the fact that no one else has walked in our shoes, yet we all have the same disease and we travel the road of recovery, looking for a deeper understanding of the disease and ourselves.

U is for Utilize. There is a slogan tree in one of the groups here in Canada that says, "Utilize, don't Criticize." Use the program, apply it to your life. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. It works when you work for it. Use the Steps, you will be surprised where they will take you.

U is for Us. I am so glad you joined this site and made the decision to join us on the road to recovery.

Without you, there is no me. It amazes me that the ABCs continue on, some are repeats, some many times over, but they still are true and still very much a truth if someone wants to stay clean and sober. They bring a unity to us all, when we learn to identify instead of comparing with each other.

U is for Understand. God as I understand Him. God is as He reveals Himself to me in today.

No matter how much I Understand God, I am grateful that God understands me.
