Wrong Turns

WRONG TURNS

Many of us have made wrong turns when we are driving. Usually we don’t continue to take wrong turns or we will never get to where we need to go. Most of the time we stop and get directions so we can get on the right track again. However, in life, we tend to make wrong turns by doing something we know we shouldn’t. And instead of stopping and asking for help, we continue to go the wrong way in hopes that things will get better. What is the point in that? We wouldn’t drive around hoping we would find our way so why do we continue to make wrong turns in life that lead us to a pit of disappointment and troubles?

Jeremiah 8:4 “Jeremiah, say to the people, ‘This is what the Lord says: ‘When people fall down, don’t they get up again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back?’” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to stop making wrong turns. Help us today to come to You right where we are and ask for direction to get back on the right path for You. We know You have the right answer we need to stop taking these wrong turns. Guide and direct us back to doing Your perfect will so we are going the right direction for You. Give us the strength we need to stay on track and resist taking the wrong turns again. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The wrong turns in life can lead to a pit of despair and hopelessness.

God can give us strength to stop taking wrong turns in our lives today.

When we live right for God, the wrong turns in life won’t be so tempting.

Each decision we make will either be a right turn to do what God wants us to do or a wrong turn that leads us away from His will.

Turning from sin and turning to God will be the best right turn we could ever make.

2 Kings 22:2 “He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right.” (NLT)

U turns are permissible. When I get off track, I can always back up, take a detour, reroute my life, and start a new day any time.
