God's Love

“Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” Psalm 36:5

God dreamed of us before he created the galaxies or contemplated history. God thought of you and me and then worked backward. All that he created he created for our enjoyment. He filled this world with beauty so that his love would be visible. When you sit outside and watch the beauty of a sunset and feel the cool summer breeze, feel his love enfold you. Each morning when you wake to the sound of the songbird, remember that it was for you that God made such sweet melodies. The next time you find yourself in the midst of a lightning storm, remember that God’s love for you created that grand fireworks display. I could go on and on to list the wonders and the beauties of this earth, but remember that each one was made with you in mind. God’s love for you created it all. All of creation whispers to you of His love. Do you hear it? Surely God's love and faithfulness know no limits. Just as there is no end to the heavens, continuing on for all eternity, so does God’s love. It knows no bounds, it cannot be contained and it is all for you.

Father, it is with awe and wonder that we marvel at your love for us. How is it possible that you would love us so? Your love created this magnificent earth and all the beauty therein just for us. How we thank you for that! May we never take it for granted. Before we were born, you had us in mind and you filled this earth with such splendor. Thank you for the beauty of this earth and your faithful love to us! Amen Quiet Waters
