Topic of the week, words that begin with the letter "V"

V is for Validation. Don't look outside of yourself for validation. Go within and connect with your Higher Power. Remember, God doesn't make no junk!

V is for Value. Value yourself, you are worthy of recovery. Get a bang for your buck as they say, work the 12 Steps into your life and you will be surprised before you are half way through.

V is for Victory. Victory over our dis-ease, one day at a time. Celebrate a second chance at life.

V is for Vow. We can't vow that we will quit for ever and ever. We do this program one day at a time. I am given no guarantees, only a daily reprieVe, from this disease.

An earnest promise to perform a specified act or behave in a certain manner, especially a solemn promise to live and act in accordance with the rules of a religious order: The 12 Steps are spiritual in nature and is applicable to all religions.

V is for Victim. We do not have to be the victim any more. We can set boundaries, learn detachment, and not allow ourselves to be abused and misused in today. No more role playing, I will validate myself and know that I am worthy of recovery.

V is for Veto. Say no to drugs. Not sure that is how it is spelled, but it begins with a "V" and it is the only word my thinking cap gave me. Just for today, I choose not to use. A drug is a drug and though they may vary, they are but a symptom of my disease, the problem is me.
