MY Birthday today!
 

I get to be 54 years old today. In my mind I sometimes feel like that same scared insecure little girl. It has gotten much better over the years. I spent the evening with my older sister who came to visit from Alabama. She is an active alcoholic and addict, even though she doesnt know it. Her and my brother talked about our very depressing sad and tragic childhood incessantly. I realized how grateful I am for the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon. I am grateful for the amazing loving healing God that has healed me and transformed my life. I no longer have to live in the past, or be depressed over it anymore. I can forgive, accept and move on to help others. I am grateful for my family. We have survived and they remind me who I am and how far Ive come'. I love them.
