Gratitude is a place of peace in today

Happy day to you all! I call my daily gratitude a place of peace in today. Gratitude I have come to know...grows as I grow...I express gratitude in the early morning...even if its looking at the trees and clouds, raising my arms with a good stretch and feel the joy of being alive...being alive IS something I am grateful for...why not show it. Gratitude is the calming peace throughout the day, my mind can get into chaos so easily, by being grateful for the soft rolling hills, the people out enjoying a walk, that I am driving somewhere to be useful and not taking or demanding anything in return...it always brings me to that place of present. Always ending the day with gratitudes for people I met, thoughts to those who are kept in prayer, thoughts of good meetings and the fellowship afterwards, an action I did different which changed the way the day went...tonight I am grateful for the meeting I went to the calmness at home, and the many blessings I see right here...a place I always wanted to be different...Peace to all, Schell:61:

Today I am grateful for a light , happy, feeling inside...watching the clouds move across the sky, doing just a few things that I had been putting off....txg with both my sponsors, looks like my AA sponsor will be able to talk tonight...just want to catch up. The thought came to me today about how I am only as sick as my secrets ...and grateful I have learned I can trust those in the program to listen and that I may listen to them. "Two ears and one mouth"! Peace, Schell

Grateful for another day of sobriety.
Grateful for the treatment at the Holistic Center yesterday.
Grateful that my son came to visit.
Grateful for my pain, it directs me to internal issues as mental and emotional pain can make itself known physically.

Quote:

I think a part of me was ungrateful and saying "Why me?" As the old saying goes, "Why not me?" It seems just one thing on top of the other, but then that is life and thanks to the program, I can deal with it without having to pick up and use.

My needs are met, even my wants and desires too; although I have found that I need to be careful for what I ask for, I just might get it!

I was grateful to learn from God that He can still use me to help others even when He is still working on me.

I am grateful He is a loving God of many chances, and also that, if I do what is right, I don't have to take any more chances, I can settle down and accept this one as the last!

I am grateful for family and health and ability to get some work done on my to do list today.
