To all of us who fancy ourselves as being intelligently self-sufficient, we who are in recovery can say, yes we were like you, far too smart for our own good. Being like this we all reached where we see that we have to either reconsider, or die from being this way. It's only a matter of time for all of us before we'll reach this point because being like this goes against what life itself is all about, and sooner or later we all realize this, and know this to be true. And even then some of us will still continue to choose to be this way, and all we can say to those who do is that we hope they are able to handle all the consequences that come from choosing to be like this. All of us who are in recovery know one thing for sure we were not, and that anyone who does choose to be this way will either be crushed or killed from choosing this for themselves.
