Default Speak In Love

SPEAK IN LOVE

One of the main reasons we forget to speak in love is that we get so into our own issues. We have problems. We have daily things that pop up that distract us. We get burdened by work, money and tough relationships. We feel tired. We get overburdened. And we forget to show and speak love to others. Without love, we can’t be holy. God is love and He is holy. We can’t be one without the other.

Ephesians 4:15 “Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to remember to speak the truth in love. Help to make the right decisions that will allow us to grow in every way more and more like Christ. Help us to be patient, kind, understanding and to show love to others. We know when we depend on You to handle our problems and focus more on others, You can allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to speak in love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we focus so much on us and our issues, we will forget to show love to others.

We can speak in love when we focus on God.

As we learn more and more from God’s word, He will show us how to be holy and to speak the truth in love.

God can help us show sincere love and put our own problems aside as we help others.

We are to be holy and to show love to others.

2 Corinthians 6:6 “We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.” (NLT)

Focus: When we give our problems to God, we can better focus on helping others and speaking the truth in love.
