D is for Denial. When we wrap the blanket of denial around us, it will work as a temporary block from the issues we need to deal with. Denial allows us to keep our secrets. When we don't bring our secrets out of the closet, we deny ourselves the opportunity to heal.
We are only as sick as our secrets. Our disease loves to eat at them, blow them out of proportion, and applies a little guilt along with some resentments, and we find ourselves back to where we came from, wondering how we got there.
