STOP THE BLEEDING

"I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist." Isaiah 44:22

"6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings."
Alcoholics Anonymous, page 59

For what it's worth: Violations of God, myself, and others ran rampant during my drinking years. Even after many sober years in Alcoholics Anonymous, I am aware of those violations. I believe God has forgiven me, but I still remember, and the awareness and shame can be heavy. Often, I have to take this to my Heavenly Father and ask Him to help me. He offers me Steps Six and Seven to continue to become willing to heal and to beg Him for His grace to stop the bleeding.

God bless you.
