We often think if we pick up another substance, we aren't using because it isn't our drug of choice. If we don't misuse it and abuse it, and allow it to abuse ourselves and others, we can stay sober, although it has been proven many times over, it can take you back to your drug of choice, if it stops working for you.
I found that when I got clean of drugs and alcohol, I had to deal with my food addiction.
