Quote:
Prayer, for Jesus Christ, formed the brackets in which He accomplished
His earthly work. It fortified Him with wisdom and power before action
occurred, and it renewed, refreshed, and revived Him when His human
strength was exhausted. On the front end He prayed for fruit, in the
middle He bore fruit, and afterwards, He thanked God for fruit. ~ Dan Hayes

Psalm 62:5-8 ESV
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress;
I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Keep me ever mindful that prayer is designed to fortify me with wisdom
and power *before* I take action. Prayer renews, refreshes and revives me
when exhausted. Remind me to always pray first. Amen.
