Default Encourage with Good Words

ENCOURAGE WITH GOOD WORDS

When we see others who are struggling and having hard times, the obvious thing would be to reach out and help them. The right thing to do would be to encourage them with good and helpful words. The last thing they want to hear is foul language or how bad they have it or for us to tell them there is no hope. We are told to be sure everything we say is good and helpful so we are giving encouragement to those who need it. Lets be sure what we say to others is something that will lift them up not tear them down.

Ephesians 4:29 Dont use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to be more aware of what we say to others and how we say it. We know sometimes we are having a bad day. We sometimes we are only thinking of us and our feelings. We know sometimes we dont stop to think what others may be going through. Give us the wisdom and knowledge to speak with encouraging words which will lift others up and bring them closer to You. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lets be sure we think about other peoples needs and what they need to hear before we begin speaking to them.

Prayer before speaking to others will help us to say what God wants us to say and not speak discouraging words to them.

We should give encouraging words to others and tell them what Jesus has done for us.

Lets be sure what we say to help others is something that will lift them up.

Lets use common sense today and use our words to encourage rather than discourage.

Proverbs 10:21 The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense. (NLT)

Focus: Every day we dont give an encouraging word to someone, we are showing them we care more about us than we care about them.
