Today's Thought:

Personally, I don't care whether people are "real" alcoholics or not. What I care about is whether people with this affliction can be relieved of their suffering. I just today observed, very closely, some of that suffering and it's a very, very ugly and painful thing.

Had a friend who use to share about the fact that he was a real alcoholic. When he arrived at his first meeting he was decked out at his first meeting he wore, leather and studs, with lots of zippers and attitude and he would say things to shock me like the fact that he shot up alcoholic to get it to work faster. When he got his first year pin, he wore gray pants, a gray striped shirt, a small stud in his ear, and he was going around in later years and saying things like, "Take what you need, but take what you don't need and put it on a shelf, because you might find someone who may need it, and you can pass it on to them."
