Default Focus On God's Calming Power

FOCUS ON GOD’S CALMING POWER

There are so many times when we are in turmoil about something. We may be worried about something going on in our lives or the lives of others. We may be upset at someone about what they said or did. We may be burdened by situations where we don’t the outcome. Whatever we are dealing with, we can forget about those issues and focus on God’s calming power. We can forget about how we are going to solve them and pray asking God to help us. If God can calm the storm and still the waves, He can calm us from the turmoil in our lives. If we want to put aside our anger, fear and worries so we can be gentle with others, we need the calming power of God.

Psalm 107:27 “He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, You are an awesome God. Your power is beyond our comprehension. Your goodness is greater than any other. Your mercy and grace is overwhelming. We know You are capable of everything and can do anything. We thank You for Your calming power and pray You will help us remember it today so we can get through hard times. We pray You will help us remember to share Your calming power with others who are searching for peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God’s calming power is available to us right now no matter what we are dealing with.

If we want to be gentle with others, we need the calming power of God.

When things upset us we tend to be harsh with others and focus only on ourselves, however God’s calming power can help us be gentle with others.

God can help us remain calm in even the most difficult situations. What do you need to turn over to Him today?

With God’s love, our fears will be calmed so we can be gentle with others.

Zephaniah 3:17 “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (NLT)

Focus: Focus on God’s calming Spirit and allow Him to remove your anger, fears and worries.
