Default Learn to live

Learn to live
"Watch how I do it...learn to live."
Matthew 11:29-30 TM

You can study until your brain's turned blue, you can work a 48 hour day, you can even try to put the world to rights in your own dinner hour, but if you're not spending time with God, what's it all about? What's it all for? It's good to try your best, but if you're overly focused on winning, you're going to end up fried like bacon. Surely, there's more to life than just results, Jesus said, 'Are you tired? Worn out?...Come to me...recover your life. I'll show you how...work with me - watch how I do it...learn to live freely and lightly.' Sounds good, doesn't it but it calls for detoxing your thinking and reprogramming it. If your head's frazzled, ask yourself "What are my priorities here?" What's the point of elbowing your way to the top, if its at the expense of your mates, time, church and family? Remember, you're a human being not human doing. Sometimes you just need to be, rather than do. If you're just trying to impress with success, you're missing the whole point. Life is so much more than gaining and getting. Jesus could have rubbed people's noses in it, how so much better he was at miracles and stories than everybody else. But he wasn't interested in fame, he was too into what mattered to fall for that nonsense. Sometimes we need to relearn how to really live.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
