We Belong Here
The sense of belonging can be overwhelming as a newcomer. The interactions and participation with a group cause what is called a pink cloud. This is normal and usually gives way to our responsibility of doing the work we need to do to get well. After some time in recovery we are given something much greater than that sense of belonging that we get when joining a group. It's a peace with ourselves, the world around us and all the people in it. This is also an overwhelming experience to belong in this world again.
