Default Topic of the week, words that begin with "E"

E is for "Each day is a new beginning." It is my favourite saying and kept me coming back one day at a time. It give me hope and hopefully I have learned from the lessons and the mistakes and in today, I can practice the program again, hopefully, a little better than I did yesterday. Each day brings it's new promises, experiences, ups and down, expectations which I normally have to lower, and find a new acceptance that just for today, I don't have to use.

E is for Easy Does It...But do it! I have problems with this one. When I get the energy to do, I tend to over do, because I don't know when the next bout of energy will come along. I tend to over do and then I am down for a couple of days.

As they say, "Balance in all things." There is no rush, it will be there and won't go away if I don't get it ALL done. One step at a time, one day at a time, and as my sponsor says, "If you are meant to do it, it will get done. If you don't get it done, it isn't according to your God's Will.

E is for Effective! Learn effective tools to combat the cravings and recognizing old patterns that I needed to change. Changing the negative affects of years of using, into positive ways of dealing with my emotions. Go to meetings, talk to your sponsor, read the literature, connect with people who have come before you, and come here for the daily readings and the recovery material.

E is for Enough. It is up to me to say, "I have had enough." No one else can decide for me, I need to be willing to be willing to do whatever it takes to stay CLEAN and SOBER.

Yeah! or Nay?

E is for Examine. Examine your motives and your intent. Is it for the honor and glory of you or God.
