Belt of Truth by SGLY Ministry

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth…Ephesians 6:14 NLT

The Belt of Truth is Jesus. It is the first and essential piece of Armor. It holds everything else in place.

Jesus said He was the Way, the Truth and the Life. (John 14:6) So if we truly believe that Jesus is Truth we can see that we need to surround ourselves with Him, and yoke ourselves to Him as He said in Matthew 11:29 NKJV: “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
He said if we abide in Him, He would abide in us. “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. John 15:4 NKJV

Therefore, buckle up! Put on the Belt of Truth daily so you can stand firm in the faith.
If you know the Truth, you will not be led astray by false teachers and prophets.
Jesus said: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 NKJV

Prayer: Dear God, thank You that You have provided Your Son Jesus as the Belt of Truth that I can put on and wear daily in order that I might not be led astray, for if I know the Truth I can stand firm in Your Armor against all the strategies of the devil and his angels.
Help me to remember daily to put on the Armor and buckle up! Thank You God. Amen.

Today: Stay alert. During the day be mindful of the things you hear, see or read. If they are not truth, according to God’s Word, reject them.

Blessings to you today as you stand firm in the Armor held up by the Belt of Truth.
