Default One Day At A Time

from the desk of Pastor Curt McComis

James 4:14 "Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."

January 1st starts a new year. Will you spend each day hid with Christ Jesus in God?

We have today, for tomorrow belongs to the Lord. Many a man and woman have their calendars filled with appointments for the upcoming year, but God has only promised them "This is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24.

One day at a time, filled with events we know nothing about; but in mankind's pride they think God owes them something.

If we take care of today by being filled with the Spirit, praising God, reading His word and fellowshipping in prayer, He will take care of tomorrow.

As another year draws to a close are you thankful for what God has done in your life? Are you closer to the wonderful glory and honour in His presence? Is your fellowship being enriched by all the doctrine you have taken in this year?

Our lives are much too short to spend time mad and upset with others; our time should be spent building others up in the Lord.

This Christmas season have you taken time to share the gospel with others? For no one knows what tomorrow will bring; never mind a whole year.

May you have a happy New Year, and may the Lord bless you and keep you.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
