Are you waiting for a breakthrough in an area of your life? Have you been praying and praying but nothing is happening? It is easy to get discouraged when our circumstances seem overwhelming to us and we think that God is not hearing our cry.

But remember the last time He helped you? Or the time before that? Or even the time before that?

It is important for us to remember all the wonderful things God has already done for us. Even if you have just been saved yesterday, God already gave you the best thing you could ever ask for – your salvation.

So instead of whining and complaining that your situation is just not getting any better, take a moment to think about all the victories God has already given you in the past. Start praising Him for that.

Revelation 12:11 tells us that our testimony is a powerful tool:

“They won the victory over him because of the blood of The Lamb and the word of their testimony…”

The blood of The Lamb has already been shed for you. Now it is time to overcome by the word of your testimony.

Your testimony is not just a part of your memories. It is powerful. Share it with others to help them when they are in a similar situation you were once in and show them how God moved mountains for you.

A friend of mine had similar issues in her marriage as I had at some point. And just like I used to, she whined and complaint. Without even realizing it I was sharing my testimony with her. I told her how I prayed and how God showed up and showed out for me each and every time. By the end of our conversation not only did she feel better because she had hope again that her situation could be turned around and would ultimately work out for her good. But I also felt empowered and encouraged simply because I talked about all the wonderful things God has done for me and my marriage.

If you’re down because you don’t see a way out of your situation, stand up and TELL the enemy how you overcame time and again because God is on your side. Remind yourself that God has been there for you so many times before. He will not let you down now. Give praise to the Lord, because the victory is already yours.
