YOU ARE NOT INSIGNIFICANT

What a solar system we "live in"...our galaxy is called the Milky Way. I am told that it contains roughly 400 billion stars, which are suns, each with its family of planets. Now, catch this - the nearest STAR is 26,000,000,000,000 miles away. Just a few more facts to dazzle our mind.

The planet earth, some 25,000 miles in circumference is small compared to other planets. Our sun is l,300,000 times as big as the earth. So from the big picture - wow - what are we? Here we are on earth, and it is so small in comparison to everything God has created. It is like earth is just a small atom. On "that atom" are a few billion people. So, here I sit at my computer and say, "With all these people, what am I that God should be mindful of me?"

Then the Word of God echoes in my ear (Luke 12:7)

"Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered."

Wow, that says a lot, huh? So in the vastness of this universe here I sit and even the hairs of my hair or numbered. Now, that is a biggie.

To you, my dear friend, let me say that yours are counted also!!! So, in a particular situation - like what you are in now - God is aware of you and he loves you and he values you.

The words of Jesus continue "... (so) don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." It is like, from way out there the picture gets smaller, smaller and the earth gets bigger and the part of the world where you are right now gets bigger - the scene enlarges to the room in which you now sit and God says I VALUE YOU!! May this one never feel insignificant. Does that raise your self esteem or what!

My prayer for you:

I do thank you, Lord, that you are mindful of this one - that you know them so well that even the hairs on their head or counted. Wow, what an awesome God. Bless this one to be encouraged with that fact in the name of Jesus.
