There are times in my life
when my troubles to me appear great
My troubles sometimes distract me
havoc for me they do create
I wander around not knowing what to do
I feel so lost, so confused
I stumble, I fall
On God's name I do call
I turn my troubles over to Him
putting them all in His hands
there is where leave them
So I may continue my journey to His promised land
Oh what a relief, what peace
fills me inside
when I give God all my troubles
and put my trust in Him

"A.A. Is All Around The World"

A.A. is all around the world
For every man, woman, boy or girl
Who seeks recovery
Who seeks happiness, joy, peace and to be free
A new way of life
Is yours for the taking
All you have to do is reach out your hand
And be honest, open minded and willing

"Thank You God"

Thank you God,
For loving me
For lifting me up
For bathing me in the sunlight of your spirit
For overflowing my cup
God only through you
Have I found a life
Full of happiness, joy, freedom, and peace
Serenity comes to me when my thoughts are of you
Your love has brought me a calm,
Contentment as I have never known
Today God all I ask is to be shown
How I may be of service to you?
How may I serve you God?
How may I do your will is my desire
Serving you God is my gratitude
Loving you is my fire
Father, I give praise and thanks to you
From the bottom of my heart
I look forward to this journey that I am on
Knowing each step I take brings me closer to your home
That is my destination God
To live with you in Heaven

"I Once Was Empty"

I once was empty
I had this great big hole inside of me
I drank many years trying to fill this empty hole
Then came a day I found myself on my knees
I cried out to God up above
To please help me
He led me to AA
Through God and AA I have been set free
God and AA have filled this big empty hole
Full of love, caring, understanding and compassion
Happiness, joy, peace and contentment
With these many gifts and blessings I have received
I reach out to others to pass it on

Money does not make me a person
Material possessions do not make me a person
What makes me a person
Is how I live my life
How I treat others
How I treat myself
Living my life for God everyday
Doing His will
Makes me the person I desire
Having a positive attitude
Being loving, kind and forgiving
Lending a helping hand
Remembering to treat others as I would have them treat me
Makes me the person I desire
Being selfless, trustworthy and honest
Gentle, patient and understanding
Growing in God's image everyday
Makes me the person I desire
Money and material possessions only give fleeting happiness
Leaving us wanting more
Seeking and continuing to grow in God's image
Gives happiness and joy everyday
And fills us up
