Cayuga / Steve H's Story




My moniker is cayuga and I love to be sober. 
Started drinking in high school and was in the
throes of alcoholism from the very beginning.
Both parents were alcoholics and I wanted no part
of their life so I was going to drink all I wanted without the
repercussions that I had seen.  WHAT A JOB I DID.
 I was worse than both of my parents and alcohol almost
destroyed my life and the lives of my wonderful family.
Thank God for the program of AA as it has saved my life
and made me a productive member of society.  I love to
 attend AA meetings and discuss life with sober alcoholics.
Hopefully will meet some people in this forum and
discuss recovery in more detail.  I have been sober since
5/19/87------one day at a time.  Thank-you
meetings, big book, sponsors, and all the wonderful talks
and literature.  Thanks to all that have gone before me
 and to those that will come later.
